Board extends date to file state income taxes to June 15

FAIRFIELD — The deadline to file state income tax forms has been extended to June 15 for Californians who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“During this public health emergency, every Californian should be free to focus on their health and well-being,” state Controller Betty T. Yee, who serves as chairwoman of Franchise Tax Board, said in a statement. “Having extra time to file their taxes allows people to do this, as the experts work to control the spread of coronavirus.”
