The global coronavirus pandemic might have put a strain on the operations of several businesses, but over at Omni Dance Academy, the dance goes on.
The Vacaville youth dance school, which teaches a variety of forms to children as young as 3 and as old as high schoolers, has temporarily closed its physical studio, but instructors are continuing to teach classes in an online, interactive form through Zoom. Cassie Daley, Omni Dance Academy’s owner and artistic director, said students are taking classes with their regular instructors at their regularly scheduled times. They just happen to be doing so from home.
“We’re doing a lot of the same stuff,” she said. “Of course, a lot of our turns and jumps and tricks have to be modified, but they are going through and having normal class.”
