Benicia Historical Museum
Benicia’s Historical Museum at the Camel Barn has been able to keep the lights on with pandemic help from the government, and their mission afloat with some out-of-the-box thinking, officials say.
The organization behind the museum was incorporated in 1981 and the museum, which celebrates the 19th century U.S. military experiment with the use of camels, was dedicated in 1985, said Maureen Williams, the museum’s part-time office manager since January 2017.
