Labs now required to release all Covid-19 test results for better tracking

FAIRFIELD — Bay Area laboratories in seven counties and one city that test for the novel coronavirus will now be required to report all test results – negative, positive and inconclusive – so public health officials can better track the transmission of the disease.

“This order expands reporting beyond the positive results to include negative and inconclusive results so that we have better understanding about the transmission of the disease in the region,” Dr. Bela Matyas, the Solano County public health officer, said in a statement released Wednesday by the county administration.
