The rest of the week is going to be a scorcher.
The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for much of Northern California, including the Bay Area and Sacramento Valley, through Saturday evening, with temperatures reaching the triple digits. In Vacaville, temperatures are expected to reach 111 degrees Thursday, followed by 107 degrees on Friday and 102 on Saturday.
For Solano County, the warning went into effect at 2 p.m. Wednesday and will remain in place until 9 p.m. Saturday.
