Solano in-home workers call for pay raise – in force

FAIRFIELD — Nearly four dozen In-Home Support Service workers and some clients – most clad in their purple SEIU 2o15 T-shirts – appeared Tuesday before the Board of Supervisors to demand a pay raise.

Several speakers also called on the board to treat them with the “respect and dignity” they deserve.

“I am my daughter’s legs because she can’t walk. I am my daughter’s hands because she can’t use them,” Julie Nad told the board.

Her daughter has cerebral palsy. She is a quadriplegic with intellectual disabilities.
