TRACY, Calif. — A bear has recently been spotted roaming around crops, trees and the vast farmland in northern Tracy, according to the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
While it might be alarming to some, the department says it has a plan.
“We’re aware that the bear is out there. We care about the bear and we want to keep the bear safe and we want the bear to go back to its original habitat,” said Ken Paglia, a spokesperson with the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Paglia told KCRA 3 that a bear was spotted near Union Island on Sunday and Monday, and that it could be the same animal recently seen in the Bay Area.
