FAIRFIELD — Scorching temperatures are sending the greater Bay Area under an air pollution alert for the second straight day as Solano County is expected to climb around triple digits again Friday.
Fairfield hit a blistering 110 degrees Thursday, and should slowly cool to 99 Friday and 93 Saturday. The 110 mark could be a record high for June 17: National Weather Service, Sacramento, data show a previous high of 106 in 1981.
Vacaville was just a tad cooler at 108. It’s predicted to stay in the 100s Friday at 105, with some cooling Saturday at 98 degrees.
