With California’s stay-at-home order lifted, museums have been given the green light to hold outdoor functions again.
Which means the Vacaville Museum Guild will resume its Historical Home Walking Tours to give participants some much-needed exercise while also learning about the homes that have had a long presence in the city.
The next walk is planned for Feb. 6, with the activities being held the first and third Saturdays of every month for as long as there is interest, museum officials wrote in a news release.
The two-hour walk will begin and end in the museum courtyard and a guide will provide local history and stories about Vacaville. Each walk will have a different route to allow for different stories to be told, officials wrote. Light refreshments will be served at the end of the tour, and participants are advised to wear comfortable shoes and face coverings. All walks are limited to no more than 15 participants.
