The Vacaville Planning Commission unanimously approved a request Tuesday to change the land use designation for parcels at the corner of Aviator Drive and East Monte Vista Avenue to accommodate a pair of warehouses.
The matter will now go before the City Council for final approval.
The project calls for two warehouse buildings — one 305,000 square feet and the other 204,000 square feet — south of Vaca Valley Parkway near the Solano County Water Agency building. Planning Technician Saul Uribe said the applicant, Buzz Oates Real Estate, was not proposing any exact uses at this time but would be providing 398 parking spaces, and the buildings would be concrete tilt-up structures.
Additionally, Uribe said Buzz Oates wished to obtain an exception to the height of the second building by allowing three additional feet.
